1. Purpose of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how A-Star Photography (“Studio,” “we,” “us”) collects, stores, uses, and protects photographs and personal information related to photography services provided to our clients.

2. Photographs & Personal Information We Collect

We may collect and process:

  • Photographs and video images taken during photography sessions

  • Client names, email addresses, phone numbers, and billing information

  • Event details (date, location, session type)

  • Online gallery activity related to photo delivery (downloads, favorites)

Payment information is processed through third-party providers and is not stored directly by the Studio.

3. How Photographs Are Used

Photographs are used for the following purposes:

  • Editing, retouching, and final delivery to the client

  • Providing digital galleries and download access

  • Archival and backup purposes

  • Internal business operations

Use of photographs for advertising, portfolio, or promotional purposes is governed separately by the Digital Photo License and Terms & Conditions and is subject to client opt-out where applicable.

4. Photo Delivery & Third-Party Platforms

We deliver photographs through secure third-party platforms (such as Pixieset) or direct digital downloads.

These platforms may collect limited technical data (such as IP address or device type) in accordance with their own privacy policies. A-Star Photography is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party platforms.

5. Storage, Security & Retention

  • Photographs and client information are stored using commercially reasonable security measures.

  • While reasonable efforts are made to protect client data, no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

  • The Studio does not guarantee long-term storage of photographs beyond delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their delivered images.

6. Client Privacy Choices

Clients may request:

  • Restriction of promotional or portfolio use (as outlined in the licensing agreement)

  • Removal of images from public-facing platforms controlled by the Studio

  • Correction of inaccurate personal information

Requests must be made in writing to the Studio’s contact email.

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to:

  • Request information about the personal data we collect

  • Request deletion of personal data, subject to legal and contractual obligations

  • Opt out of certain uses of personal data

8. Sharing of Information

We do not sell client photographs or personal information.

Information may be shared only with:

  • Service providers necessary to deliver photography services (e.g., gallery hosting, labs)

  • Legal authorities if required by law

9. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental or legal guardian consent. For sessions involving minors, the client represents that they have authority to consent on the child’s behalf.

10. Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The most current version will be made available upon request or published on the Studio’s website.
